Happy Mondays

Sunshine and Rain

The rain stopped and England's Happy Mondays took the stage before a large audience on the Green Stage. They band featured an exciting percussion session and back-up vocalist

Still, it was Shaun Ryder on lead vocals and Bez on caracas who stole the show, and attracting most of the crowd's attention. Ryder seemed a little mixed up, as he seemed to remember "playing at tent" at Fuji Rock last year, but in fact it was the very same stage. The slight gaffe didn't matter as many enjoyed the band's back catalogue which included the hit, "Hallelujah", which the band played as the second number in their set, as well as other faves. Good on you Shaun and Bez, you keep rock and roll and music festivals, and life for that matter, in a very unique perspective!!
