Heads up, it's all on from here
They're crowding the gates, they're lining the streets, they're putting up tents. They have a few things in common though; they all look ready, they're all happy, and they're all here for Fuji Rock '07!!
It certainly looks like it will be a great start to the festival tonight. The public are due to come streaming through the gates at 6pm tonight, for the Zenyasai party. We'll start with a matsuri, move on to fireworks and finish it all off with three as yet unannounced bands in the Red Marquee. If we are lucky we may see a repeat of the streakers adding their impromptu stamp to the festivities. There is a lot of speculation on the lineup for tonight, who will it be? Maybe Yellowcard, spotted at the highway reststop this afternoon in plenty of time to make it and set up? Maybe one of the brace of britpoppers scheduled for tomorrow? But the source of that rumour has proven to be unreliable thus far...
No matter, it is no concern. The organisers always manage to do well in their choice for the opening night, entertaining not only the punters from far away, but the whole town of Naeba's residents, from toddlers through to the army oba-chans in their kimono... Let the party begin!!
