The Zutons
Some things are just right. Like following a stranger who's making his way to the front of the stage(he does all the work, you’re just along for the ride). The Zutons for lack of a better word, are just RIGHT. And with the sun going down over the mountains, and a packed audience at the White Stage, they rocked out.
About 1,000 people felt the same way. It was anything but easy getting to the front of the stage, and the lines at the beer tent were the longest I have seen all festival. Most were stocking up and getting 3 or 4 beers apiece. The Zutons played a high energy set of original numbers that blended northern soul, straight ahead rock and roll, and R&B influences.
The band received a warm reception with girls climbing atop their boyfriends shoulders and pumping a fist into the air or waving their beers. The band are a big hit back home and the number of British flags flying in the air proved it. They are also popular here at Naeba as it was a great scene and with the sun heading over the mountains, hits like “Pressure Point,” “Valerie,” “Give Me a Reason,” and their well known closer “You Will You Won't”.
