Overheating? Try the hill.

Shady places at a premium.

Even though there seems to be a short supply of direct sunlight this year, it still fairly burns when it does show. While the Naeba site is beautiful, apart from the Red Marquee and a few spots on one side of the green stage, there is precious little shade to be had. White, Field and Orange all have nothing.

But luckily there is the walk from Field to White, largely shaded and broken up in the middle with Gypsy Avalon. But the spaces to sit are still for the most part in the direct sun. So you can do what these peeps have done and make a seat along the side. This was the scene this morning at the far end of White stage for the start of Yokohama outfit Asparagus's set. No, they couldn't see the stage, but they were cool, shaded and could hear just fine. Even if there is a danger of sliding down the hill!
