Bridging the gap

Kagami shows them how it's done.

What a spot to play. Coming on immediately after the wild show Denki Groove put on, and having Paul Van Dyk follow you. That's the spot no one is going to envy. The one that will fall into insignificance when people look back on the night. "Denki Groove were awesome!" "PVD was excellent!" "What did you think of what's-his-name in the middle?" "Oh, yeah...I went to the toilet and got a beer..."

Well that certainly wasn't what happened when Kagami took to the decks for a short but tight one hour set. Building a name for himself playing in the clubs around town, Kagami put together a set of solid tunes, building the crowd up for more. There was an exodus at the start of his performance as the Denki Groovers left, but there remained a packed and appreciative crowd. He showed them how it is done with a set of great tracks mixed together well.

I would have liked to have seen a bit more progression through the set, but it's hard to do when you only have an hour. Regardless of this, the crowd ate up every minute of it. In my opinion he actually outclassed PVD who followed with a much less interesting selection of anthems.

Look out for Kagami on a bill near you. He may well steal the show again!
